No Comments Book: “Two weeks with the queen” Reading passport 1.
The story starts on Christmas Day, a selfish boy called Collin, a nice humble boy (Collin’s brother) called Luke and two poor but great full parents. You can tell Collin is selfish and ungrateful at the beginning one quote for that is: “Pity we haven’t got a microscope in the the family, I could have run some tests and spotted it.” That shows sarcasm and ungrateful ness. After Luke hears that he is very ill Collin realises it is serious and he has to make an impact ‘Any idea what it is yet?’ Collin said to the doctor. You could also tell that whatever Luke has is serious from his parents emotions and actions, or the way the doctors couldn’t do anything or they had to take Luke to to the best hospital in Australia (Sydney). His parents bought a plain ticket to London “to get away from… Things.” Aunty Iris says. He has his plan. He can’t take his mind of Luke, his plan is to some how get to the queen and to get the best doctor in the world to help Luke. But you can tell just from that he is a creative child and still enjoys his adventures. Through out the story you find that uncle Bob hates the royal family so that means Collin has less of a chance to get to Buckingham place. So he plans how to get there.
